Looking at The World

Here I am,
Looking at the world,
Green, blue and everything included,
quite wondrous,
with its hearts and its eyes,
quite startling,
with its truths and its lies,
quite delirious,
but rearranging just the same,
quite humorous,
but crying together in time’s rain…

Its cycling trivialities,
second chances and misfortunes,
Some ships carrying memories sailing home,
Some ships sailing to oblivion…

As a wanderer,
I feed it crumbs of joy,
and it sketches me with love,
in its glorious design,
I play with it like a child,
and it gently plays along…

Here I am,
Looking at the world,
I smile at it,
and it smiles back,
like a friend who understands,
like a parent who nourishes,
like a teacher that guides,
like my own reflection traveling through time…

Port Jefferson continues to inspire the best artistic elements in my present time. A quite moment at the beach can bring out a lot.
